"100th Anniversary Legacy Scholarship Award"
For Final Year Medicine and Family Medicine residents
The Sarnia Lambton Chamber of Commerce is pleased to introduce the 100th Anniversary Legacy Scholarship Award. The awards are offered for students entering final year of medicine considering family medicine as a specialty or to residents in family medicine year 1 or 2.
The awards program will accept applications until February 12, 2010.
Award announcements are expected in September 2010.
As a result of our family physician shortage, several partners in the community have come together with the Chamber of Commerce to make this scholarship possible. The Sarnia Community Foundation will act as scholarship fund host and administrator. The Sarnia Lambton Taskforce on Healthcare Worker Recruitment will provide marketing support, contact information and award/selection committee support. The Chamber of Commerce, service clubs and the community have contributed to the fund.
